Veterinarian, South Burnett Region

We are seeking an enthusiastic Small Animal veterinarian with the opportunity to learn large animals in the future. You will be adding to a team of 2 vets with over 40years experience and 6 lovely nurses.

This position is Full Time with shared afterhours work once established in your new role. Experience is not necessary, new and recent graduates are welcome to apply.

The business has 3 long established clinics that are located at Murgon, Kingaroy and Wondai, with days at all clinics being shared. Theses clinics are truly mixed with small animals 60% and large animal 40%. With our semi – rural location most clients are grateful for us to work up cases that would typically be referred to the larger cities- in saying this we do have referral options available at all times.

The clinics are equipped with digital radiographic equipment, in house Rem blood machines, dental machines, vision computer systems, laptops, ultrasound machine, on call phones and large library. Two of the Three clinics are opened Monday to Friday 8-5 and half days on Saturdays, our 3rd clinic is opened 3 days a week for consultations.

The South Burnett region is busy rural community. There is great opportunity for work life balance with the coast only 2.5hrs away, close to the bunya mountains, schools, wineries, sport facilities, local pubs, fishing and water sports all on the doorstep for your enjoyment.

Salary package it offered with 1-week study leave and 4 weeks of annual leave inclusive. This position offers a negotiable base salary range of $56,000 – $70,000 dependent on the suitable applicant’s skills and experience, with an opportunity for partnership existing in the future for the right candidate.
