We are seeking a part-time veterinarian to join our long established mixed practice, located in Grafton on the beautiful north coast of NSW. We are currently a 3.5 vet practice needing to increase to 4 vets. Our veterinary staff have a wide range of skills and interests.

This is essentially a small animal position, but if the applicant has an interest in equine and small ruminant work, this will be well mentored. The caseload of the practice is 65% small animals, 20% equine, and 5% mixed livestock. Our clients are mostly long term, loyal & caring, with a large variety of companion animals.

We are offering a part-time position, which involves alternating 2 – 3 days per week (flexible) and ideally shared 1in 4 weekend roster and on call duty. A work vehicle & mobile telephone is provided whilst on duty. We have a modern, well equipped practice with digital radiography, full in-house laboratory, endoscopy / video endoscopy, ultrasounds, ECG, IM3 dental suite & CR dental radiography, intensive care monitoring equipment (oximetry, capnography & blood pressure, ventilator).

The salary package is well above APESMA, with generous after hour’s remuneration, 4 weeks’ annual leave, and 1 week’s paid study leave. We strongly encourage, and will assist the pursuit of individual professional interests, and will financially support continuing Education.

A total salary package of $85,000 – $105,000 (FTE) is envisaged for the successful applicant depending on experience. We would prefer applicants to have at least one year’s practice experience.
