FULL TIME SMALL ANIMAL VET: GRADUATE PROGRAM

Our Graduate program follows an individually tailored and flexible approach that includes training and development across all aspects of a private practice. Graduates receive a unique program that includes hands-on and online training, external and internal support, peer mentoring, ongoing support, with knowledge building activities to improve both technical and soft skill sets.

The objective of the program is to set the foundation for and accelerate the pathway to a successful career within a private practice setting.

About us
Our goal is to provide the pets of our community with the absolute best quality medical care they can get, and give their families the peace of mind that they’re in the safest of hands. As a Western Australian and family-run group of clinics, the core of our focus is on human relationships – the true meaning of being a veterinary professional.

We employ approximately 50 veterinary and paraprofessional staff across 6 locations. Our veterinary group includes two well-equipped extended hours hospital locations, supported by four boutique consulting practices.

About you

You’ll be a passionate, customer focused, motivated, and eager to learn individual, with a drive to advance customer relationships.

About the role
This position is based at Bull Creek but may be required to rotate through other Clinics as training progresses.

In this learning and development role, you will learn to:

  • provide diagnoses, preventative care, and treatment services to the best of your abilities;
  • perform core surgeries using our state-of-the-art facilities;
  • working closely with clients to create tailored care plans, including follow-up visits, after-care support, and provide enough education for them to ensure a long and happy life for their pet;
  • to be part of a committed and passionate team, contributing your skills and experience to provide the best veterinary care possible.

What we can do for you:
We are able to provide a competitive salary.

Our roster allows you to work a standard 7.6 hour day (10 shifts / 76 hour fortnight) with a weekend rotation of approximately 1 in 4, with days off either side to compensate. This means no really long 10hr+ days or 50 hour weeks followed by 30 hour weeks.

Our hospital hubs are newly renovated and equipped well with all the up to date equipment. Including digital radiology, ultrasonography, IM3 dental suite, anaesthetic monitoring systems, IV fluid pumps.

All surgery is done onsite at our hospital locations. Surgery is allocated at a time where it can be completed alongside other vets (not sole surgery charge).

Weekly mentoring and development meetings are held for our new graduate vets. In these meetings you are able to ask for advice and or assistance on anything you feel you need support in, patient cases, surgeries, etc.

A strong support network. With over 50 veterinarian and paraprofessional staff, you’ll be surrounded by a team that wants to see you thrive, and see you focus your efforts on providing the best veterinary care that you can.

A personal development plan with financial support to see you grow your career the way you want to. There will be further education opportunities, veterinary networking opportunities, and the chance to give back to the community we serve.

We are also open to taking on a veterinarian in a part-time capacity. If you are interested in part time work please send in your application stating you are seeking part-time work. Part time hours can be discussed upon application.
