Equine Veterinarian (100% Equine) – Reproduction and General Practice – Hunter Region, NSW Full-time – experienced (1-2 years minimum)

This well-established Equine Practice, nestled in the beautiful Hunter region, close to the lovely beaches of Newcastle and the Central Coast, and around 2.5 hours drive to Sydney, are looking for a full-time Equine Veterinarian to work in reproduction and general practice.  The practice is in a small village next to the famous Coolmore and Darley Studs, and services a number of smaller studs and private breeders also.

Who will you be working with?

You will be working within an Equine clinic under a highly experienced Equine Lead Veterinarian, focusing on equine reproduction, with the opportunity to develop your own interests in areas such as Sport horses, racetrack, paediatrics, and procedures both in thoroughbred breeding and artificial breeding in non-thoroughbreds.  With most of the work being done on the farm, there will also be crush facilities available in clinic, as well as ultrasound, digital radiography, endoscopy, and internal laboratory for haematology, bacteriology, and semen analysis.

Who will you be?

  • A Qualified and registered Equine Veterinarian who is experienced (1 – 2 years minimum preferred) – will consider limited registration Veterinarians and confident graduates (Sponsorship may also be considered).
  • Someone who is wanting to expand their knowledge and skillset in Equine Reproduction.
  • Someone who is passionate about continuing education, in professionally developing themselves.
  • Someone who is friendly, and communicative, and enjoys working in a team.
