This brand new state-of-the-art 24hr emergency and specialist hospital, located in the beautiful Sutherland Shire, close to the stunning Southern beaches of Sydney is looking for an experienced Anaesthesia Veterinary Nurse for their thriving practice.
Who will you be working with?
This hospital has a brand new 1.5T MRI, a 64 slice CT, fluoroscopy, endoscopy, digital radiology and ultrasound, as well as an Advanced Treatment Centre (ATC). The Team are passionate about providing high-quality cutting-edge care, and pride themselves as being innovative and leaders in the veterinary emergency and specialist arena. Who will you be?
- An experienced Anaesthesia Veterinary Nurse.
- The ability to set up treatment and anaesthesia sheets for surgery patients and round with surgeons to ensure proper drug protocols.
- The ability to review patient records, preform pre-op TPR’s, Place IV Catheter’s, pre-med, and inducing and monitoring anaesthesia.
- The ability to recover patients and round with treatment nurses when they are ready to transfer.
- The ability to ensure treatment sheets are set up according to surgeon preferences with proper recording of all anaesthesia events and surgical items usedThe ability to assist medicine or ER with any anaesthesia needs and round with Medicine and ER.
- The ability to conduct general daily maintenance checks on all hospital anaesthesia machines, and monitoring ventilator patients.
